I have been given a tea set with the name "Hensley Community" stamped on the bottom of the pieces. Can anyone tell me what I have bneen given, I have no knowledge of silverware. Thank you. IP: Logged |

Hello, "Community" on a piece of silver almost always designates silverplate by Oneida Silversmiths. Piece bearing the "Community" mark are usually their highest quality plate, though not always. "Hensley"(are you sure it isn't Henley?) would be the name of the pattern. There are probably a number of different holloware pieces that would match your set, but not flatware. Your set is almost certainly post-1945 as well. I hope this helps! Brent IP: Logged |
