The pictures are still available along with the rest of the auction details. I'm guessing that these are plate, possibly English, and are used to hold a wine bottle. Any additional info would be appreciated. quote: This is two matching silver bowls. They are marked on the side which I tried to picture. They are 7" across and 2" high. mefecit Posts: 7 Registered: Mar 2004	posted 04-09-2004 07:31 PM Hello: Wine coasters, so chilled bottles do not let condensed water "ring" your table. The bottoms are always wood or some other insulating material, as silver would cool and "sweat" from the cold bottle. IP: Logged
