[01-1087] Would you be able to identify a hallmark without a picture? It is a candelabra that says Silver on Copper. Under that a crown, and then a square with no top in Gothic letters maybe "u s". Then in a square a Gothic "S", then a square a Gothic maybe "G". Under that is reg. which I imagine means the hallmark is registered. I would very much appreciate any information on this. The "Silver on Copper" mark indicates that your item is silverplate. Hallmarks were not used on silverplate. What you've described are not hallmarks. The marks sound vaguely like marks of the Birmingham Silver Co. of Brooklyn, New York and Yalesville, Connecticut. There are several prior posts on this company in these forums. Hope this helps.
