To my surprise, and pleasantly so, there are currently silverplated items being sold. Most are by foreign makers. There are several that are silverplated hollow handles with stainless tines. But they are making silverplate still. Which means there is some market for it. Like these two pastry servers, for under $50.

This pattern was inspired by a spoon found at Plimlico flea market. It is made by 'Olde Worlde Craftsman' apparently.

There are servers also, in gift type offerings.

The variety of cheese servers returns:

This one is problematical. It is offered in both silverplate and pewter. There seems to be a lot of pewter currently for hollow ware, much of it of interest. Gorham pioneered this form in the US about 25 years ago. It was somewhat successful, but there were problems. So they seem to have given it up. Here is a serving set available this way.

Talisman by Christofle, silver plate and available with lacquers in various colors...red, green, black, blue. I like the black but the green bothers me. It resembles faux marble and it looks like tacky 80s hotel lobby wallpaper. The red and blue aren't quite as bad.

I also like a lot of the Puiforcat offerings, especially the Art Deco designs, which is what the designer is best known for. Their Cannes is one of my favorite patterns of all time, but I think it is only in sterling. Here are a couple nice Deco style designs in plate:
