[26-1498] This mark has been a pain for me. I have exhausted my resources so I am putting it out to the mark masters that haunt these forums - (Meant in fun) Seriously, if you can shed some light on the origin and meaning of this mark and the resources that I have missed it in, I would greatly appreciate it! The closest mark that I have found that is similar is a set of Belgium marks that only go up to a 3 standard. The Hebrew letter I assume is the 6 so that is confusing unless it refers to something else I am not aware of. It is located on the underbelly of a bug brooch. Any thoughts?

Hello niteowl and welcome to the forum. If you can add some more information to your first posting I think you may be more likely to receive helpful responses. If you go back and re-read the yellow box at the start of this page you will see that we ask people who are new to the forum to provide us with some introductory information on their interest in silver and in the particular object about which they have a question. Also, it is important to see the whole object in order to put the mark into context and because this is not an "ask the experts" forum like many other forums are - we are simply a group of people who enjoy discussing and collecting silver. As such is good form to share such photos so people here can appreciate your object. IP: Logged |

Hi Kimo, Thank you for clarifying. Unfortunately, I do not have more to offer on this than what was posted. I do not have the piece only the mark. Now that I understand this forum better, I will be more thorough and less rambunctious next time. My apologies to all! I do have to mention that this forum is such a pleasure to read! The exchanges are wonderful and so polite! I humbly withdraw this entire post. Thank you IP: Logged |

Okay. I hope you stay with us and keep reading the great postings here. I am constantly learning new things from all of the great experts and my interest and appreciation for nice silver and silver plated objects grows with it. If you do have anything you would like to share please do post it. Regards, Kimo IP: Logged |
