[26-1905] I have a copper covered poacher, or skillet by Joseph Heinrich. The lid and the skillet are both silver lined. The skillet weighs about 4 lbs. Oval shape with domed lid. Measures 13" x 9-1/2", has a pewter handle 4-1/2" long and small brass knob on lid. Questions:

Welcome to the forum! Would you please take a moment and introduce yourself a bit to our little group here on the forum. This is something we ask of all newcomers since we are just a small group here. Are you a collector of these kinds of skillets? Do you also collect other kinds of metalware or silver? Have you been at it for very long? Is there a particular kind of information you are seeking - are you gathering information to sell this? Also, would you please post some clear photos and closeups of your skillet? There are some great instructions on how to post photos here by clicking on the link on how to post photos in the yellow box at the top of the page. Verbal descriptions are not very helpful since there are so many similar markings and everyone gets a different image in their mind when just words are used. Also, identification of things is not just in markings, but overall style and construction is just as important. Finally, everyone here likes to see photos of what people collect and this is a way to share your interest and enjoyment. regards, IP: Logged |
