Hello,

My name is Dawn.

I have found a set of eight beautiful goblets that I believe to be silver but I am not an expert so I can't be sure.

The markings at the bottom of the stem say "International Silver Co." There is a design as well as a number 2 stamped on the bottom as well. There is a sticker on the bottom of the cup that says "Inspector No 09 Hand Crafted Hand Inspected Finest Quality International Sliver Co Meriden Connecticut U.S.A".

I have searched several different sites but I have not been able to find any information on the pattern.

When I purchased the goblets they were in really bad shape, I have cleaned then up rather nicely and I want to find the silverware that matches them but I don't know where to start. Any help anyone would be able to give me would be great.

I have searched the matching website for the International Sliver Co but have had no luck. The pattern is beautiful and I would really like to add to my collection.

Welcome to the forum Miss Dawn. The International Silver Company is a very large maker of silver and silver plated objects and they have been churning them out since 1898. They made them in countless patterns, along with making many that are not actually a part of a named pattern but that are just stand alone designs.

Unfortunately we can not be of any help unless we can actually see your goblets since they have had so many designs. The marking you mention is a generic one so it does not help in establishing whether these are part of a pattern or are just one a stand, alone un-named designs. Please read the yellow box near the top of this page and click on the link on how to post photos. If you go step by step and don't take shortcuts you will be able to successfully post photos here. You will need to post nice, well lit, clear photos of the goblets showing an overall photo of a goblet plus some closeups (use the macro setting on your camera for very close up photos) of the markings and any designs the goblets have on them.

Are you going to be using your goblets as part of your table settings or are you a goblet collector?

International goblets that come in sets tend to date to the 20's and 30's. There are a number of designs that coordinate with flatware patterns, and even more that don't. The size is also important as that really helps narrow it down to age and design. Look forward to seeing the goblets.
