I have been trying to identify the Japanese workshop mark whose stamp appears on silver that Liberty imported from Japan in 1893-4. The mark SM in a rounded rectangular cartouche is stamped on spoons. Any ideas who SM was or still is? IP: Logged |

Simon, Hopefully you have read the Guidelines and have read enough of our existing posts to know that the SSF is not for business research or promotion. This includes research for purposes of publication. We do support persons doing business research but it is done in one of our private Silver Caucus Rooms. We welcome your participation in discussing and sharing silver topics but please make sure your participation is within the Guidelines. Going forward please make sure your public posts are not to support your publishing business research. I am sure there are members who would offer you assistance in this regard however it would need to be done in a private Silver Caucus Room. Please contact us about arranging a private Silver Caucus Room. IP: Logged |
