A friend brought the unpublished manuscript on Newburyport silver to my attention. It is of interest to me for a number of reasons. As a resident of Newburyport, pieces of Newburyport silver are of particular interest. I authored an article on who actually made pieces of 'Newburyport silver' marked J. Moulton which appeared in the September-October issue of Silver Magazine. As the current Chair of the Silver Committee of the Historical Society of Old Newbury the posting is of particular interest. The Society has received a grant to be used specifically for assembling a collection of artifacts relating to the silver manufacturing industry in Newburyport from its earliest days to the present. An exhibit on Newburyport silver sponsored by the Committee in the year 2012 is presently under consideration. I have printed out what appeared in the post, which only goes as far as Gentleman Joseph. I am very interested in the origin and reading the remainder of the manuscript if at all possible.
