Good pictures of silvermarks are a good start for the determination of hallmarks. Many cheap cameras can unfortunately not take good close-ups. But with a simple trick you can make this kind of images with cheap cameras. The following pictures show a recording that was made with a watchmaker's loupe, which was clamped in front of the lens. A bit of tact and a little practice to get the perfect distance and consider the light - and you get the desired result.

It is important for my project, creating a reference work of the German hallmarks. Since I am relying on the help of collectors, I am publishing this little help, so I can get such good pictures for my work.
