[26-2179] Hello - I am new to the forum and I hope to discover and perhaps confirm that the vase pictured is from the Wiener Werkstätte and who designed it; I suspect either Koloman Moser or Joseph Hoffmann but I have found no conformation in any books that I am aware of. The workmanship and form of this small vase has great presence whatever it is placed next to. Both of the marks depicted in the photo SEEM to suggest the Viennese Diana head hallmark for 900 silver, as well as the Wiener Werkstatte shop mark. As simply a collector of great Twentieth Century design with ZERO intention of selling this object my wish is to discover any & all information regarding the history of the object; here's hoping someone spots something that has up to this point eluded me. I do hope to "get to the bottom of this" with any help from the forum. Does anyone have knowledge of this design movement to suggest? Any and all comments appreciated.
Many thanks in advance, the new boy IP: Logged |
