I'm excited to join the forum and gain more knowledge on silver. I found a beautiful Art Nouveau pair of Candle Holders but cannot find the maker ID in any of my books or on line. The piece is marked 830S which I know is Danish. The next mark is an impressed Goblet in a round circle and after that the number 412 probably the stock number. I can't ID the maker mark. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Here is a picture:

Congratulations on mastering Photobucket and on purchasing a pretty pair of candle holders. Try now to take a close up picture of the marks on the holders. Welcome to the Silver forum.

I believe it is the Norweigan T.H. Marthinsen. Tonsberg 1900- 1925 era. Jersey IP: Logged |

rather than art nouveau, i would describe their style as rococo revival. IP: Logged |
