Does anyone have access to a full copy of John Polhamus' patent for the Armor pattern that you would be willing to share? Diana Cramer identifies it as #1232 dated Apr. 10, 1860. I have had very little luck accessing 19th century U. S. Patent Office documents.

It is best to search Google™ patents instead of the U.S. Patent Office. Just put in D1232 as your search term. The D stands for Design patent.
The U.S. Patent Office has the same information, but their site is not user friendly. For various reasons the U.S. Patent Office is technologically behind Google by several decades.
