I am an Estate Buyer and am trying to place the date and the subjects of this 800 silver plate. I believe to be a Lazarus Posen design. Any help would be appreciated. Sincerely Bryen MacIntyre

I am an Estate Buyer and have collected and traded silver for 40 years. When silver prices were in the $4 an oz. range we traded and valued silver flatware by patterns. I am always interested in makers and dates and trying to figure them out. IP: Logged |

Thanks for skinny intro. After 40 years of collecting it would be nice to know where your collecting interests are focused and how they evolved? We hope this first inquiry/sharing was not business research. Please continue to share with us but only after the “Estate Buyer” finds are no longer apart of your business inventory. Many of our dealer members share with us but only after they no longer have a business interest (pending sale) or the item is now only part of their personal collection. I expect after 40 years you will have some interesting things to share with us. IP: Logged |

hallo Bryen, it is interesting to hear. If you have any flatware from Germany (pre 1888), I am very interested in seeing the images of this hallmarks. I try to make an encyclopedia of old german hallmarks. IP: Logged |
