Hi.I'm Tim and I am an antiques dealers that is is need of some information. I have a beautiful pair of 835 silver and amethyst cuff links that have the three crown hallmark as well as the silver standard mark on them. There is another hallmark on them that I assume is the maker's mark but I could not identify it anywhere. It looks like an H sitting on top of an M. I will post a picture and I would be very grateful for any information you might be able to tell me about the maker or artist. Thanks in advance. IP: Logged |

Hi Tim. Welcome to the silver salon forum. From your description of yourself as a dealer would I be correct in assuming that these cufflinks are part of your inventory to sell and you are doing research in that vein? If so I am afraid that we will not be able to help you in that this is an unusual internet forum and is limited to people who like and learn about silver for their own collections or for learning more about silver smithing and such. Do you also have your own collection of silver things that you would never part with? If so I am sure we would like to hear about them. Please also be sure to post photos as verbal descriptions of silver and silver markings are very difficult to determine anything of use since there are so many markings and designs that are very similar, as well as there being more than a few forgeries out there. If you need help in learning how to post photos, please take a look at the yellow box above where it says to please read before posting - there is a link there to an easy to follow process for posting photos here.
