Hi Doris. Welcome to the Silver Salon Forum. There are some great folks here and we welcome new participants but we do ask that each new person to please take a few moments and read what is written in the big yellow box near the top of the page where it says "Please Read Before You Post". As you will see it asks all new members to please introduce themselves and to follow a short list of guidelines when participating here. It also has links to pages that explain how to post photos which are a must since to many silver markings are similar and one of the purposes of this forum is to allow everyone here to enjoy seeing the objects that are being discussed. It explains that all new members are limited to posting in this New Members section until they gain some experience and demonstrate that they are able to follow the short list of forum guidelines. Our moderators, Scott and June, will then give you posting priviledges to all of the regular sections in the forum. In the meantime, though, most folks do read and respond to questions posted in this section and if you want to refer to another post in another part of the forum all you need to do is mention you are commenting or asking about the other post. 1. Public Silver Forums (open Free membership) - anyone with a valid e-mail address may register. Once you have received your Silver Salon Forum password, and then if you abide by the Silver Salon Forum Guidelines, you may start a thread or post a reply in the New Members' Forum. New Members who show a continued willingness to participate, to completely read and abide by the Guidelines will be allowed to post to the Member Public Forums. 2. Private Silver Salon Forums (invitational or $ donation membership) - The Private Silver Salon Forums require registration and special authorization to view, search, start a thread or to post a reply. Special authorization can be obtained in one of several ways: by Invitation; Annual $ Donation; or via Special Limited Membership. For more details click here (under development). 3. Administrative/Special Private Forums (special membership required) - These forums are reserved for special subjects or administrative discussion. These forums are not open to the public and require special authorization to view or post. |
