First time poster long time collector.I found this little beauty and thought it was a candle holder. I now realize it may be a epergne or trumpet vase holder. Hopefully someone will be able to provide more information, but for a start it is not silver. The EPNS letters stand for Electro Plated Nickel Silver which means is is a nickel copper alloy with thin plating of silver on top. I think it is an interesting looking object and would like to learn more about how it was used from anyone who knows. For example, did it have glass or porcelain inserts that would go in the holders which would contain a little water and the stems of the flowers?
