I have some silverware that I've inherited, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to sell it. I stumbled across this website, which seems great - but I'm wondering how long it takes to be "vetted" to be allowed to post in the other forums...? Maybe the General Silver Forum? IP: Logged |

Hi CCarroll. If you go back and re-read the green box at the top of every page it lays out the forum rules and provides links to more detailed information on participating here. For example it answers your question on how long it takes to get posting priviledges in other parts of the forum beyond this section and it reads:
When you go back and read the rules to which you agreed when you signed up it lays out the few topics that we do not discuss on this forum which includes the selling aspects, other than in the broadest terms. As such this would not be a place where you would find advice on selling your silver other than for us to advise you to find a local dealer or appraiser who can help you and that they would charge you a fee. Alternatively there are auction websites on the internet where you can sell your things and if you spend some time researching what things sell for there you will find general values for your silver that you wish to sell. If you would like to discuss the non-commercial aspects of silver collecting this is a great site for that and if you would please re-read the green and yellow boxes above they will guide you on how to do so. For example, the first step would be for you to please provide a brief introduction of yourself and your silver collection interests. Best regards, IP: Logged |
