I have studied antique silver for quite a while now and my main interest lies in flatware. However, I have now moved further forward and am researching the Arts & Crafts period/s. Every now and again I come across a stumbling block and need a bit of help.

Welcome! I, and several of the other members here like the Arts and Crafts period.

What is the item you have?

Thank you.

The items are 2 spoons made in the 1950s and exactly copying two spoons of Amy Sandheim. The sponsor's mark is F.H in a rectangle with curled-in corners.

No information seems to exist between this maker and the Sandheim family and yet someone was running their shop until the 1980's, 25 years after Amy died.

Hi and welcome!

Photos are really important for all of our readers to be able to understand what people are talking about. Could you please take minute and re-read the big yellow box above and especially point number 4 where it explains how to post photos on the forum.

Many thanks!

Many thanks Kimo.

I have tried to post a photo of the mark and a spoon but just can't seem to get the specifics right yet!

escrimeur,

Please tell us what you have tried to do about posting a photo. Right now it appears you haven't tried the Silver Salon Photo Gallery. ??

Sorry for delay due to illness (seasonal but long-lasting) I will give it a try and then see if I can post the required pic. Thanks.
