Hello. My name is Eric (Eric 2 username.) I have a box of goods from a friend and am looking to sell a few things out of it. Below are 3 links to photos of silver marks that I could use some help identifying. I appreciate you letting me post as I want to be as educated as I possible as I move forward. Thank you. Eric

Hello Eric. If you would please re-read the conditions under which you registered in this forum you will see that we do not discuss prices. If you would like an appraisal you should locate a professional appraiser in your area and hire them to provide you with your appraisals. Best wishes on your sales. Kimo IP: Logged |

Kimo, Hello. If you would re-read my post you'll see that I was asking for identification assistance, as my subject noted. I did not want to discuss prices. I want to be better educated so that I know what I have and what I estimate it could be worth. Sincerely IP: Logged |

Hi Eric, While respecting your honesty in stating that you are researching these marks in order to determine their worth for sale, it is clearly stated in the guidelines that these forums are not for that purpose. Please understand that we are are just a bunch of folks who collect, study, and discuss silver - we don't post items looking for help in selling them. Should you develop an interest in silver during your sales research, perhaps you will start or join into another discussion, it would be very much welcomed... The American marks you've posted are all fairly common, and can be found on sites intended for mark identification, or in books found at libraries or retailers (Rainwater's Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers, 4th edition, is recommended). ~Cheryl [This message has been edited by dragonflywink (edited 03-26-2016).] IP: Logged |
