Hi, Im new to this but I have been looking everywhere for an answer to this question. What is the difference in a piece numbered 100, 100A, 110B. I am looking at various Georg Jensen pieces and while I understand the hallmarks I can not find info on the differences in the additional lettering added to numbered pieces...any help would be appreciated. Hi, So sorry didn't see that before I posted. In fact I found registering on this site kind of difficult...I couldn't find a sign in button or know how to change the automated password into one I can remember. With that being said I think this is a great website to share our similar interests. I am a medical consultant that has collected various silver pieces through out my life. I more recently have started to add to my Georg Jensen collection. I am of Danish decent so his works interest me. I am happy to be part of this community and thank you for your quick reply. To be more specific in my question I am looking at two pieces. One is marked 100 A and the other 100 B the GJ hallmarks are similar both are 925 sterling silver...does the A and B differentiate between production batches or what...again thanks for your reply... Hi Yinder. Welcome to the silver salon forum! I am not a Jensen expert, but normally such numbers are the model number for that particular object. My guess would be that the difference between a 100A and a 100B might be something like size or maybe a later minor redesign in some way rather than simply different batches. An object numbered 110B would be a different design than 100A or 100B. Are these objects in your possession and if so some clear photos and close ups might help. Also, do you have any favorite Jensen things in your collection? I know the folks here would enjoy seeing some photos as we all enjoy admiring nice silver. Kimo IP: Logged |
