Hello all, I am a collector of Sterling flatware and have used this forum frequently for reference, although I have never posted before... Greetings from Southern California! I started collecting about 2 years ago and I am hooked. Such beautiful works of art and history. My question - Can anyone help me identify this sterling hallmark? Along with the name of this spoon (if it has one?). I've only seen it in this style so it is not a full flatware line, it is just a figural citrus spoon as far as I know. I have found similar spoons online marked with this HE hallmark, along with the Gorham hallmarks, Mine is not marked Gorham. I thought perhaps it was Holmes and Edwards but all the sites I checked have hallmarks that don't look like this. Also wondering why spoons would be marked HE and Gorham - was Gorham the maker and the HE retailer? If so, why doesn't mine have the Gorham hallmarks? Thanks for any assist! Here are the photos (I hope I did this right): IP: Logged |
