Here we go! As I said, the picture have been upload. I don't know too much more about the spoon. I hope someone can give me a clue about it. Thank you.

A clearer closeup of the first mark might help the discussion. IP: Logged |

Is possible that the number 3 indicates the thickness of the silverpate? IP: Logged |

Try again on the first mark since this one is less clear. You could be right about the 3. Or the number in the rectangle cartouche could be a year indicator but we need to start by properly IDing the first mark. So we need to see a clear extreme close-up of the first mark so we can begin to ID the possible country. For what it worth, my first thought is also French. Perhaps someone with more international experience will comment. IP: Logged |

I tried to enlarge and enhance your image but still remain unsure about what it is.

I'd probably be looking at Belgian silverplate manufacturers... ~Cheryl IP: Logged |

dragonflywink is almost always headed in the right direction. Following her suggestion could produce results. IP: Logged |

I took a picture and I can see a bird with almost spread wings, and an eye. Maybe I´m wrong and I see strange things... I´ll upload the picture later. Meantime, I´ll follow the lead you suggest me. Thanks. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Scott - but am only thinking Belgian because while the mark placement is typically French, would expect the maker's mark to be in a square or rectangle. Have seen those single digit (2, 3, 4) plating marks on both French and Belgian pieces - curious what a good shot of the mark might reveal... ~Cheryl IP: Logged |

I have looked at this and more than once could not decide if I was interpreting things correctly. Generally I see a bird. What bird, (i.e. heron seagull, duck, peliguin) seems to change. IP: Logged |

This is better. Unfortunately it leaves me more confused about what is there. I no longer think I might be looking at a bird. My imagination now thinks it sees a four leg creature rearing on its hind legs. I might even see horns/antlers of some sort. I just don't know what to think. IP: Logged |

It´s seem the mark is slightly worn out. It´s a pity. Anyway, I can see a bird with almost spread wings, a beak and an eye. Also I can see a feather tail. Just my imagination??? IP: Logged |

It looks like a duck. But does it walk like a duck and quack like a duck? IP: Logged |
