About a year ago I took up as a hobby collecting British and American silver folding fruit knives. Because there were few if any regulations on making such products in 19th century America (as distinguished from our British cousins!), trying to identify the maker and date of fabrication of these knives can be quite a challenge. That's why I was delighted to just recently learn of this site and look forward to benefiting from the great experience of its members and hope I can offer some insights I've gained along the way to others seeking information.
