Hello everyone. My husband and I run a WA-State antique and personal property appraisal business called Bear & Raven. Our specialty is Asian antiques (especially porcelains) but we are often called on to appraise a wide range of items. We currently are working with a client that has a large collection of early American silver flatware. Most we can figure out but are stumped by a set of 18 pieces stamped "J. Einstine" on the back. The set belonged to a dealer that specialized in early American silver that passed away. He had a rather large price on it. Does anyone know anything about Einstine silver? I believe it's very early American (pre-1820) but have been unable to find any references online.
