Jeffrey Herman on his website The Care of Silver recommends removing tarnish with an aloe-free hand sanitizer on a cotton makeup pad. I tried it, and it didn't remove a lick! However, the hand sanitizers in my state use ethyl alcohol as the only active ingredient, and I bet that's the problem. Just wondering what these products elsewhere contain that they clean so well.
