I would go to one of the jewelry shops in your area and ask them for a recommendation. Those in the jewelry trade often repair small silver items and for larger repairs they most likely have a working relationship with a silversmith. ahwt has given you good advice. One small addition is that you should be prepared to pay a fair price for a silversmith as they are highly skilled craftspeople and have invested in costly specialized tools and training. Think about how much you pay a plumber or electrician or auto mechanic per hour and then consider that silversmiths are much rarer and perhaps even more highly skilled. IP: Logged |
