Hi All, I'm new to this forum, looking forward to learning! I've been unsuccessful in discovering the maker on this belt. Initially thought it was southwestern or NA until a member of another forum said it was Asian... Hoping for some thoughts, thanks for looking Nancy [snip....Please see how to post photos] [This message has been edited by Scott Martin (edited 11-05-2022).] IP: Logged |

I'm hoping one of our members recognizes the maker's mark. Love the belt. IP: Logged |

I do not recognize the marking but I would agree that it appears to be an eastern Asian character - likely China, but maybe Japan or Vietnam or such. The happy face design seems to date it to possibly the 1960s or 1970s but that is hard to tell for sure. The rather crude construction on the back linking each piece to the next suggests to me that it could be something that was mass produced. IP: Logged |
