Hello,

Thank you for your recent help. I think this spoon is made by Frederick Oakes. b. 1781 d. 1855 in East Hartford, CT. Does that sound correct and does it match up to Jerusha Ellsworth born 1788 Tolland CT? and died Illinois 1814.

There are several Oakes silversmiths and I can't read the monogram clearly whether it is JE or SE. I would appreciate your thoughts.

It is Oakes Sr's mark and the spoon dates by style to the 1820s, after he left his partnership with Nathaniel Spencer.
The mono is SE
