Here is an example of my most recent large piece of pewter, made as part of a commission of 12 chargers each with a different leaf from the clients land chased in the center. Here is the white oak. Hammered and “sunk” over a wooden stump, the chasing and repousse was completed using tools I made myself. I like to try and push the limits on what the metal can do and work in The true spirit of the arts and crafts movement. Finished by hand with a lye soak and brick dust polish IP: Logged |

What a great idea and that is a beautiful charger. I hope you put a picture of all twelve on the forum. I just finished reading “The Hidden Life of Trees” by Peter Wohlleben and an earlier one, historical in nature, “American Canopy: Trees, Forests, and the Making of a Nation” by Eric Rutkow.
