Listed in the 1850 U S Federal Census for Norfolk, Virginia as a watchmaker, place of birth Virginia in 1830. Listed in the 1859 Norfolk Directory as a jeweler and watchmaker at 18 E Main. Listed in the 1860 U S Federal Census for Norfolk, Virginia as a jeweler. Enlisted in Confederate Army, State of Virginia, Peninsula Light Artillery Regiment 18 May 1861, place of enslistment Yorktown, residence Williamsburg, occupation engraver. Listed in the 1870 U S Federal Census for Williamsburg, Virginia as a watchmaker. Listed in the 1880 U S Federal Census for Norfolk, Virginia as a watchmaker. Listed in late 1880's Norfolk Directories as a jeweler and watchmaker at 171 Main. Mentioned in the October 14, 1891 Jewelers' Circular with the comment that he had recently died. IP: Logged |
