U.S. and International Marriage Records list the 1881 marriage of Luther A Taber and Susan Kimball Eaton born 1817 in Connecticut. Eugene Chapman is listed in the 1880 U S Federal Census for Holyoke, Massachusetts as an apprenticed jeweler in Luther A Taber's household. Eugene M Chapman clerk at L A Taber & Son in the 1882 Holyoke City Directory. Edward N & Eugene M Chapman both at Taber & Chapman in the 1883 through 1886 Holyoke City Directories. Eugene M Chapman at Taber & Chapman (Edward had removed to Springfield) in the 1887 Holyoke City Directory. Eugene M & Edward N Chapman listed as Chapman Bros jewelers in the 1888 & 1889 Holyoke City Directories. Edward N & Charles M Chapman listed as Chapman Bros jewelers in the 1890 Holyoke City Directory. Eugene M Chapman listed with the note inquire at 29 Suffolk in the 1890 Holyoke City Directory. With the three brothers diverging and converging as they have, I'll stop here with Edward N Chapman listed at Chapman & Co and Charles M Chapman listed as a printer in the 1891 Holyoke City Directory. Sometime in the early 1890's Chapman Printing Co went into business in Hoyoke. Eugene M Chapman was listed as a jeweler through 1930 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. IP: Logged |
