I have this tongs that tests silver and is only marked with a P.O Any ideas if it's sterling, coin silver, or just heavy silver plate? Thank you, Cyn [This message has been edited by Cyn (edited 08-25-2017).] IP: Logged |

The P.O mark is listed in Catherine Hollan's book on Philadelphia as the mark for Peter Olivier. The only note she had on him is that the French Consulate published notice of his death in Philadelphia on January 26, 1797 and that he died intestate. You may want to use Silver Forum's photo site as it will tell you if your pictures are oversize. Save your pictures no bigger than 640 pixels wide and you will be fine. IP: Logged |

Sorry about the size, I'm rather inept with sizing photos. IP: Logged |
