[26-1131] I have a bowl with grapes that has a mark of W with a wreath around it and the number 2142. It belonged to my aunt and do not know anything about it. Do you? ------------------ IP: Logged |

Welcome to the forum, Rosie. The maker might be Woodside Sterling Co. But it is hard to tell without a picture of the bowl and the marks. IP: Logged |

I do have photos--just not aware of posting them up according to the directions. I do see that you have hit it right. It is Woodside. Does reticulated mean that the design is raised? I have a dish/bowl that is 7 inches in diameter and has a grape design. It's in fantastic shape.

Hello Rosie and welcome to the forum. Reticulated means a cut out design, kind of like a lace doily. I think the term you are thinking about is repousee which is where a design is raised up on one side by pressing or hammering the metal from the opposite side. IP: Logged |
