[26-1426] I tried to post something about a great old brooch, but have no idea what happened to it. Anyway, I've been collecting silver jewelry since I was 17 years old and I will soon be 50! My collection is all over the map in terms of quantity and quality and ranges from very old European pieces to Mexican to American post-war Modern to last years craft shows in NYC. I wish I had unlimited resources and could get whatever I want, but that will likely never happen. The "great" things I own have been acquired as a matter of luck. I do appreciate silver for its own sake and for the ability of artisans to adapt it into many extraordinary ways. I am thrilled with looking at other peoples collections! I buy it to wear it and wear it everyday so I guess you could call it a working collection. I am a psychiatric RN and I find jewelry is a great conversation starter for those who find it hard to reach out. IP: Logged |

Welcome to the forum Caramia! It is nice to have you with us and your interest in silver sounds like that of many of us here. If you have had difficulty in posting a question, please take a few minutes to read the Guidelines If you go through these, step by step, you should have no trouble. Welcome to the forums. You will find everyone more than willing to help should you have problems with posting or adding photos. As has already been suggested read the guidelines and use the photo suggestions as these will help avoid problems. Again, welcome to the forums. IP: Logged |
