...to repair the clasp on an old silver bracelet with amethysts. I could also deal with a silversmith in northern Connecticut or other nearby New England locations, or perhaps someone very well established who will do mail order. Does anyone know of a silversmith in this area that is still in business? Thanks for your time. IP: Logged |

Just a thought that you really want a good jeweler, there are silversmiths who can repair this but there are more jewelers who would do a good job. For holloware perhaps the Society of American Silversmiths in Providence,RI can help? IP: Logged |

Hi! I don't know where you are going with this, however if you do an online search for silversmiths in the area you are looking for, you will find many listings. Good or even great silversmiths or jewelers can be a matter of opinion. One who may have done great work for me, might not work for you. Do your search, call or visit them & see if they will work for you. Obviously there must be some reason you are concerned about a clasp repair, which to my ear does not sound that difficult by any competant jeweler. So tell us, what is your particular concern about this bracelet. Is it of historical significance that needs an archival type restorer to retain the integral or historical value of the piece. Help us out here and we will try to help you. Jersey IP: Logged |

Hi Again! It has occured to me after re-reading your post that you may not be able to go to a shop since you inquired about mail order. Is this the case? Jersey IP: Logged |
