I have been looking for information about this brooch or pin. Found this site and it is quite interesting. The brooch is sterling, five piece construction, gold wash on two pieces, put together with small nuts and bolts and signed CMK. I have attached the URL so you can see the pictures. I have three pictures posted 201,202,203. Any info will help.

I have an entry in my US makers database for a Carol M. Kahn, a metalsmith, active 1982. Don't know if she also made jewellery. IP: Logged |

I don't know why I said I didn't know if she did jewellery. She exhibited in a show callled Metalsmithing: the Michigan Influence in 1982, showing a vessel, a container and a neckpiece, none of which is illustrated, unfortunately. Whether or not this is the same CMK, I can't say. The catalogue says only that she worked in Hopkins, MN. Other items included would be along the same sort of lines as your piece. IP: Logged |
