Here is a small note to those collectors who drive the I 40 / 85 corridor in the Greensboro, NC area. Replacements ltd. the large shop alongside the interstate, generally has a nice selection of USA coin silver spoons (50 or 60)in a cabinet at reasonable prices. If you are looking for a particular maker, or style of spoon, and yes, some forks, this would be a great place to stop and search. The coin silver comes in with the sterling that they buy.. They don't care much about it, so it goes in a cabinet. Ask for the location, in the store, and someone will show you. Marc IP: Logged |

Marc, thanks so much for posting this; it couldn't have been any more timely, as I'm headed down to NC soon and have begun a small table-setting collection of early coin patterns. IP: Logged |

You learn something new everyday! As many times as I have been there, I have never seen that display and never would have thought to ask about coin silver. There is so much to look at, that I guess I have overlooked it. IP: Logged |
