Hello...I've acquired a piece of flatware that I believe to be Danish but I'd love to confirm that and identify the maker. Thank you for your help. IP: Logged |

Your piece is indeed Danish, assayed in Copenhagen (the mark with the towers). To the right of this is the mark of the assay master, Christian Fr. Heise, who worked from 1904 to 1932. There may be a small number beneath the Copenhagen tower mark which is the year. Sorry, don't know the maker! Are the initials HSO or BSO ? The picture doesn't show the maker's mark very clearly but you may be quite right that it is George Jensen. Use a good magnifier to compare it to the marks shown on this earlier post. Click here! (Georg Jensen Hallmarks) IP: Logged |

Hi there, Definitely Jensen, early twentieth century 830 silver mark. Appears that the year in the assay mark is "31" for 1931. Looks like a sugar spoon; does it have a beaded loop handle? Cheryl ;o) IP: Logged |
