Could you please help me to identify the hallmark on a lovely tea set (three pieces), silver overlay on dark blue porcelain. The pattern of the silver overlay is leaves. the hallmark is Z J , the letters are one on top of the other, in a kind of "shield" frame, above the "shield" it is written selb. There are a few more letters under the shield that I cannot recognize. Thank you IP: Logged |

This is not my topic, but I can't help but think that the combination of a silver-mounted piece of porcelain and the word Selb should link to Rosenthal and Bavaria... In other words, find the maker of the porcelain and find the maker of the silver?? IP: Logged |

Thank you. I already found out with the help of a forum member that the porcelain maker is Jackob Zeidler. The company was bought later by Rozenthal. Thank you anyway Pneena IP: Logged |
