Hi, I need some help identifying the maker of a silver bowl I have. It has a pedestal base, two handles and a lid with a knob that looks somewhat like a squash blossom. The makers mark is a small circle at the center of which is an animal that is possibly a bear. Around the animal is the name Art. Krupp and then the word Berndorf. Below this mark is a row of numbers and letters. They are a figure that looks similar to a British pound sign followed by a 10cl. The next row has just one number: 1 . Does anyone have any information about the maker, country of origin and era? IP: Logged |

Berndorf are an important Austrian manufacturer based near Vienna. More about the firm, including a long company history, can be found at their English web site: berndorf.at IP: Logged |
