Scotia Posts: 125 Registered: Oct 2003	posted 11-11-2004 09:44 AM Hi there, I recently bought this silver milk/cream jug. I was told it was Austrian but I am not so sure. The marks to the bottom are a triangle with a "5" inside it along with some mountains on which stands an aerial type thing. There is also an "800" mark and the makers mark "M.V". It looks 18th century but I have no idea. Any help greatly appreciated. IP: Logged

The jug is of superb quality and the silver is quite thick. I have also discovered another triangle mark underneath the lip of the spout, the same as the one on the base. IP: Logged
