I have a set of 12 silver knives and forks with bone handles. They are quite ornate and are clearly to be used when eating fish. The markings on them are 5 distinct squares with the upper case letters EPNSS.

I believe them to be continental since I received them as a gift from my father who lives in Belgium.

If someone could help me with background information on the set I would appreciate it. I will be keeping these as a fond memory of my father and will be passing them on to my family members.

The letters EPNS stand for Electro Plated Nickel Silver and therefore denote the items are silver plated.
