[26-0095 07-0198] I have 2 pieces of Jewelry (a ring and a pendant) that has the initials JS (There is also something that appears to be a flower or a cloud)around it. The silver is also stamped 835. We presume that it can come from Hungary or Poland as it was given to my grandmother, by some Jewish people after Word War II. I think the pieces are in the Art Neavea style or Art Deco Style.

As some one relatively new to this forum, I have learned that without a photo it is really hard to make a determination. There was so much movement of people and so much chaos at the end of World War II, that I doubt stories of who gave what to whom will help you determine where things were made. 835 may be a purity mark in parts per thousand, but without knowing where the jewelry is from, even that is uncertain. If you have a digital camera, try posting a photo or drawing. Instructions are listed above. Good luck, IP: Logged |

Hi there, I do not know where they come from but they are certainly Art Deco (1930's), especially the pendant which is particularly beautiful. This type of jewellery is very popular at the moment. IP: Logged |
