This crystal bottle with stopper and silver cap has marks that may be German but, as they are not exact for the crescent and crown, I'm not sure. I've been through every page of Tardy's, but still am not sure what the origin and date are. (The band around the neck bears the same marks minus the flower.)

The marks are as follows:
-Small oval reserve with what seems to be a poinsettia, but could be eidelweiss and a tiny G to the right bottom of the flower.(export mark ? - bought in France?)
-The crescant and crown.
-The 800 (for the silver standard)
-A shield with unrecognizable design or lettering.

It's German just late, I can't make out the other marks.

Many thanks for the reply... I'm OK with "German, just later" I like the piece. Where do you suggest I start to look to find info for later-dated silver items that I find in Europe?

I think your site just answered my last question. Im so new to this site that I had not taken the time to explore your other forums - like "20th Century arts and crafts."
