Hello Everyone! I have undertaken to find out about the family silver passed down through the generations! I will admit to total ignorance in regards to silver of any kind. I did send an e-mail to Christofle asking about it and if the cases could give any clue. They did respond however, not to the question about the cases. All they said was that if it was marked with double "C" it would have been issued between 1897 and 1935. Is there any way to narrow it down? Is there anything in particular, that I should be looking for?

Hi Juanita. Is there any way you can take a couple of close-up photos of a fork or spoon to show the little details in the design on the handle, and an even closer close-up photo or two of the markings on them? We can't really be of much help until we can see these kinds of details. IP: Logged |
