The inscription SPQR is Latin and means: Senatus PopulusQue Romanorum = Senat and people of Rome. The figur is a female wolfe, nursing ROMULUS and REMUS, the founders of Rome. It is a typical Italian (Roman) tourist souvenir. Silvercontent 800/1000. Sazikov2000 IP: Logged |

I agree with Sazikoff - it is a tourist item from Italy, most likely sold in Rome given the Romulus and Remus with mother wolf design, and likely mid 20th century or even newer. The quality of the casting is not very refined so it is likely a mass produced thing sold in the little tourist kiosks or airport stores.
