rdinorscia Posts: 2 Registered: Sep 2005	posted 09-16-2005 12:28 AM Hello, I greatly appreciate any help with this item. This mark is on a silver 5 light silver candelabra. The hallmark looks like German but someone recently brought to my attention that they felt it was different. It shows a crescent moon (facing right), a crown with a cross on top (worn) 830, and then a crest that is worn that I cannot make out what it may be. Many thanks in advance for your advise. sazikov2000 Posts: 254 Registered: Jan 2005	posted 09-16-2005 04:30 PM It is the typical German hallmarking since January 1st 1888: Crescent moon and crown silvercontent minimum 800/1000 or more (here 830/1000) the mark of the manufacturer known to the Reichspatentamt (sorry I can not see it clearly, otherwise I could tell you the name).
