I have a plate that is marked on the back Rosenthal Bahnhof Selb Germany Handgemelt and a cursive signature Wagner. The approx 3" border is inlaid silver scroll and the edge has appros 1/2" solid silver border. The border has one mark and that is 1000/1000. Does that mean that the border is solid silver or what other meaning could that have. Any info would be appreciated. George ------------------ IP: Logged |

Since 925/1000 is sterling then I would think would be safe to assume the mark 1000/1000 would indicate pure silver. You might try contacting Rosenthal to ask. See prior post for the address: Rosenthal - German pattern identification IP: Logged |
