Hello all, Here is a interesting spoon I recently sold. It has a neat high-relief scroll pattern running down the center, and I could not tell if it was swaged or applied. It is marked P. TASSI in a a rectangular surround. I am still curious as to where this may have come from. Does anyone know? Has anyone seen a similar handle? Brent IP: Logged |

I never found out anything about my pieces in this pattern: Mystery Set The name TASSI sounds Italian. The pattern on mine is virtually identical to the one on yours, but curiously they have different maker's marks. I saw another piece of this pattern one year at Brimfield and swear it had either Russian or other Eastern European hallmarks such as Latvian perhaps, but unfortunately I don't remember. Either this is some kind of traditional pattern, or some anonymous maker was producing this pattern and others marked it with their own marks. IP: Logged |
